Protected Downloads First
Start with digital delivery, then pick the right channel
If you’re still deciding how to use Go!BrightCart, start with the protected-download flow, then choose hosted storefront, WordPress, embeds, services, or subscriptions as needed.
Managing Inventory
Inventory in Go!BrightCart is managed at the listing level so the same product can behave differently across stores.
Key ideas
- Inventory is tracked per store listing, not just once for the shared product.
- Each listing can have its own SKU, quantity on hand, and low-stock threshold.
- Variant inventory can inherit from the listing or be managed separately per variant.
When to track inventory
Turn on tracking when stock levels matter operationally. Leave it off for unlimited digital goods, made-to-order items, appointments, or services.
Backorders
Allow backorders only when you are comfortable selling beyond current stock. If you enable them, make sure fulfillment expectations are clear elsewhere in the storefront or customer communication flow.
Variant strategy
- Use listing-level inventory for simpler products.
- Use variant-level inventory when each option combination has its own stock reality.
Practical tips
- Keep SKUs unique enough to identify the selling unit.
- Set low-stock thresholds to support replenishment, not just warnings.
- Review inventory per store when the same product appears in multiple storefronts.
Ready To Launch?
Start with the easiest path and get your selling setup live
You don’t need to build a full store before you can sell a protected download. Choose the digital-download path, compare plans, and launch with a focused storefront or embed.
